Newquay Harbour Beach – With a fabulous beach bar in the form of The Boathouse (serving up incredible street food year-round!) Newquay Harbour Beach is an incredible spot to sit and watch the fishing boats come and go as you soak in the traditional Cornish atmosphere.

Towan, Great Western, Tolcarne & Lusty Glaze Beaches – All these beaches run parallel, in that order, from the harbour and all the way along the length of Newquay town. They offer a vast stretch of sand for walking along the shoreline at low tide, and hold their own individual charms for relaxed beach days when the tide comes in.

Crantock Beach – For those seeking quieter sands, Crantock Beach’s sand dunes and serene setting make it a family favorite. The River Gannel estuary finds its way back to the sea on Crantock Beach, and provides a wonderful place to walk, explore and watch the wildlife.

Watergate Bay – A two-mile stretch of golden sand framed by towering cliffs. Just three miles from Newquay, this iconic North Cornish beach is great for surfers, kite surfers and those who love wild, dramatic coastlines. Open to dogs year-round, it’s perfect for a long walk, too.

Nearby, Porth Island offers a scenic walk and plenty of history to discover. Dogs are welcome most of the year with a few summer restrictions. The Mermaid Pub is a fantastic family friendly spot to refresh after a day on the sand!
