Walks

Why not try taking the foot ferry across the Gannel Estuary? This route will have you glimpsing tonnes of wildlife from birds to butterflies to fish.

Fancy something more dramatic? Then head along the coast path from Newquay into Watergate Bay – you can even carry on further all the way to Mawgan Porth!

Drive-In cinema

Did you know that Newquay has its very own 50s inspired drive-in cinema where you can enjoy some amazing films from the comfort of your own car?! This fun-loving company allows you to download a treasure trail complete with maps and clues that will leave the whole family captivated. Gardens

Gardens begin to show off their flowering blooms as early as February. In fact, in 2020 Spring was declared in Cornwall on the 18th February! Over a month before the astronomical season change on the 20th March. Trenance Gardens in Newquay is the perfect place to stroll through some breathtaking flora. Geo-cache

Have you heard of geo-caching? This is potentially the PERFECT activity to keep you entertained, out in nature and socially-distanced! Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices (your smartphone). It’s a blast for kids and adults alike who fancy an adventure!

Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location. It’s etiquette to add a little something to the container once you’ve found it before tucking it back into its secret location. Geocaches are located the world over, with plenty to choose from in Cornwall and Newquay!
