Check out two of our favourite routes to enjoy during the Winter months below.

Newquay to Watergate

Our favourite winter walks include the 3 miles route from Newquay town centre along the cliffs to Watergate Bay. Be sure to bring along the dog as during the winter months most of the beaches along this route are dog-friendly. This route offers spectacular views, especially as the sun begins to set but it is a bit hilly. Time your walk and enjoy a spot of lunch at one of the restaurants at Watergate Bay. From here you can watch the tide roll in.

Bedruthan Steps & Carnewas

Just a 20-minute drive north of Newquay is Bedruthan Steps and particularly in the wild winter weather, this location is a must-see. This dramatic landscape is synonymous with shipwrecks and features colossal rocks protruding upwards out of the sea. Walk along the coast path to Carnewas where you can enjoy this impressive clifftop view. Then warm up with a coffee and something tasty in the local café.
